Fillmore Middle School Administration


Principal – Pablo Leaños


Mr. Pablo Leaños has been appointed Principal of Fillmore Middle School. Mr. Leaños is a professional educator whom has worked at the middle school and high school levels with experiences as a classroom teacher, counselor, and administrator. He recently left his previous position as the Principal of Sierra High School where he had served the Fillmore Unified School District community for the last two years.

Assistant Principal  Megan Dieli

Ms. Megan K. Dieli is a California native and a 1994 graduate of Adolfo Camarillo High School.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with an English concentration from Pepperdine University in 1998, Master of Science in Educational Technology from Walden University in 2006, and Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2016. She currently holds a Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Supplementary Authorization in English, Crosscultural, Language, and Academic Development (CLAD) Certificate, and an Administrative Services Credential.


Within her almost two decades in education, Ms. Dieli has taught both elementary and middle school in all subjects ranging from 2nd-6th grade as well as 8th grade English. Before her current role as Assistant Principal, she held many titles in various districts including Literacy Teacher Leader, Reading Interventionist, Intervention Coordinator, College and Career Readiness Coach, AVID Coordinator, and ASB Advisor. In 2011, Ms. Dieli was honored to receive OfficeMax’s “A Day Made Better Teaching Award” for her exemplary service.


Ms. Dieli believes that teachers must develop a Growth Mindset within their students in order for them to recognize their own ability to succeed. She believes in educating the entire child and places an emphasis on social-emotional development.


Ms. Dieli currently resides in Simi Valley with her three fabulous children. She is very pleased to be part of the Fillmore Middle School family.

Assistant Principal – Christina Gonzalez-Ornelas

Mrs. Gonzalez-Ornelas has worked in education for over 13 years and embraces each new opportunity to work with students, teachers, staff, and the community.  Mrs. Gonzalez-Ornelas is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology, and then continued at National University to earn her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Masters in Education, and her Administrative Services Credential.


Starting her career in our neighboring district, Santa Paula Unified School District (SPUSD), she taught as an elementary and middle school teacher.  During this time she also worked in the community in various capacities which include a Migrant Speech and Debate Coach, Independent Study Teacher, Tutor, Algebra Summer Academy Teacher, Administrator Designee at Isbell Middle School, and SPUSD High School Girls and AYSO Soccer Coach. Most recently Mrs. Gonzalez-Ornelas has worked with our English Learner students and families as Fillmore Unified School District (FUSD)'s Coordinator of Special Populations.

Mrs. Gonzalez-Ornelas loves being an educator, supporting and empowering students to reach their goals.  She prides herself in serving the families in Fillmore and knowing that the work she is doing is uplifting the community.  She applauses all the great work that has been done at Fillmore Middle School and is eager to "hit the ground running" to support the FMS momentum!

Education is in her "genes!" She comes from a family of educators; many of her aunts and cousins are elementary teachers, one is a high school science teacher, another sister is a high school counselor, and her brother is currently studying to be a Special Education teacher.

Mrs. Gonzalez-Ornelas is married to Richard Ornelas, a Planning and Scheduling Supervisor for a local pharmaceutical company.   They have one crazy ball of energy, Lucas, who will be beginning Kindergarten in a Dual Language Immersion program this year.   Her world is filled with family events and extracurricular activities with her son, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. The eldest nephew is starting his sophomore year at Hueneme High School, and she is eager to watch Fillmore vs. Hueneme this football season.  Family is her everything and she hopes to extend her family into Fillmore Middle School.

Mrs.  Gonzalez- Ornelas is excited, optimistic, and appreciative to be working as the Fillmore Middle School's Assistant Principal.  She is confident this year is going to be positive, impactful, and fun for students, staff, and families!
